Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This page lists the ones that can be set when you visit adagemarketers.com, and how to control them.

Analytics

We measure how many people visit and which pages they read, so we know which guides are useful. We look at this information in aggregate only.

  • Google Tag Manager loads the measurement tools below. Tag Manager is a loader: it does not itself set cookies to track you.
  • Google Analytics, loaded through Tag Manager, sets first-party cookies whose names start with _ga (for example _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell visits apart. By default they last up to two years. Google describes how it uses this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
  • Our own analytics script (bytelane) records page views. It may use cookies or similar technologies for that purpose.

Affiliate links

Some links on the site are affiliate links (see our affiliate disclosure). When you follow one, the company you visit, or the affiliate network it works with, may set cookies on its own site to record that you came from us. Those cookies are set and governed by them, under their own privacy and cookie policies.

How to control cookies

  • Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its privacy settings, for all sites or for this one.
  • Blocking analytics or affiliate cookies does not stop the site from working: every guide stays readable.
  • If you block all cookies, the two technical cookies above are blocked too; the guides still work, because they don't depend on them.

Changes and contact

If we add or remove a service that sets cookies, we update this page. More about the information we collect is in our privacy policy. Questions: hello@adagemarketers.com.
